Former Kachia/Kagarko House Of Representatives Member, Hon. Jagaba Adams Jagaba, has felicitated with Brigadier General Buba Marwa Rtd, on his appointment as Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) by president Muhammadu Buhari. He stated that the appointment is as timely as it is desirous, given the level of insecurity Nigeria has slided into occasioned by the use of prohibited drugs by a vast segment of the country’s youth.
”I write to heartily felicitate with you on your recent appointment as Chairman/CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) by His Excellency, President Muhamadu Buhari GCFR, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Your appointment is as timely as it is desirous, given the level of insecurity our dear country has slided into occasioned by the use of prohibited drugs by a vast segment of our youth. Thus, Mr President couldn’t have chosen a more pragmatic and forthright person who has the patriotic zeal to help stem the gradual slide of the country into a state of anarchy.
And of course, within a few weeks in office, you have proven that your appointment was not misplaced, by identifying one of the key factors responsible for the banditry and other crimes ravaging our nation – illicit drugs. Not only have you identified the cause, you have swung into action with military precision to tackle the hydra – headed monster headlong. The international community, which had watched with bated breath the gradual sliding of Nigeria into a drug haven, has now been reassured that the fight against illicit drugs in our country has taken a new turn for the better.

And this is all thanks to you for the pragmatic steps you have brought to bear within such a short time. We are indeed proud of you.
As Chairman, House Committee on Drugs, Narcotics and Financial Crimes in the 7th Assembly of the House of Representatives (2011-2015) with responsibilities of over sighting NDLEA and EFCC, I know the enormous task you have been saddled with. However, I am confident that you are equal to the task, given your track records in your previous national assignments where you left indelible marks. You are therefore, by this appointment, a round peg in a round hole. I have no doubt in my mind that you are capable of transforming this agency into one that will discharge its duties in accordance with best international standards and practices.
Mr Chairman sir, I know it is your love and desire to bequeath a saner country to our generation and generations unborn that led you to humbly accept this appointment. Therefore, I urge you to serve unrelentlessly and tirelessly.
While praying God almighty to imbue you with wisdom, good health and foresight in your service to the fatherland, do accept now, and always, the assurances of my highest esteem and consideration, please.” He wrote.
