Minister of Works, David Umahi, has withdrawn the services of China Harbour Engineering Company from the construction of the second carriageway of the Abuja–Mararaba–Keffi road project.
Umahi said the decision followed the company’s failure to comply with the approved contract design and directives issued by the Ministry of Works.
He has directed that local contractors be mobilised immediately to take over the project’s inner and outer shoulders, which will now be constructed using concrete.
