President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after a ten-day working visit to Lagos, where he held a series of high-level engagements with investors and government officials.
His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the President’s return in a statement on Monday.
Before arriving in Lagos, Tinubu attended the coronation of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, in Ibadan.
During his stay in Lagos, the President met with major investors, including Global Infrastructure Partners CEO Bayo Ogunlesi and Metis Capital Partners Chairman Keem Belo-Osagie. He also received the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Arsenio Dominguez, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to developing Nigeria’s maritime sector as a sustainable alternative to oil.
Tinubu later travelled to Imo State, where he commissioned projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveiled a book documenting ten years of APC governance.
He delivered his Independence Day broadcast from Dodan Barracks and commissioned the newly renovated National Theatre, renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.
On 4 October, the President attended the burial of Mama Lydia Yilwatda in Jos, Plateau State, where he pledged continued fairness and inclusivity for all religious groups in Nigeria.
