Distinguished Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Customs, Excise, and Tariff, led an oversight visit to the Nigeria Customs Service, Kano/Jigawa Area Command, on May 16, 2025. The visit highlights the Senate’s commitment to promoting transparency and efficiency in key government agencies.
Senator Jibrin engaged with senior officials of the Kano/Jigawa Command, receiving detailed briefings on operational activities, revenue generation, anti-smuggling efforts, and challenges faced in executing their duties. During the visit, Senator Echocho stressed the critical role of the Nigeria Customs Service in safeguarding national security and fostering economic growth.
