Plateau Police Recover 35 Stolen Cattle, 24 Reunited with Owners

A police operation in Mangun District, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, resulted in the recovery of 35 rustled cattle on May 1st, police sources have confirmed. The recovery, which took place around 7:00 p.m. during a surveillance patrol, saw 24 of the cows successfully returned to their owners following a joint identification process involving police and cattle breeders’ associations. The remaining 11 unclaimed animals are currently held by the Divisional Police Officer in Mangu as authorities work to locate their owners. This success is part of the Plateau Police Command’s ongoing efforts to combat livestock theft. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
