Rapper Odumodublvck is facing possible jail time following a lawsuit filed against him by fellow artist Kraziecent, who accused the Abuja-based rapper of assault and property damage during a public event in December 2024.
According to court filings, Kraziecent, whose real name is Levi Ogbogiri, alleged that Odumodublvck physically attacked him without provocation while he was “peacefully taking videos and pictures” at a social gathering. The incident, he claimed, left him humiliated and emotionally distressed.
The upcoming artist is demanding compensation for the alleged assault, public embarrassment, and destruction of his iPhone 15 Pro Max, which he said compounded his financial and emotional losses.
Kraziecent’s lawyer, Barrister Uchenna Ojembe, informed the court that the defendant’s legal team had been duly served the necessary documents but was yet to file a formal response.
Presiding judge Justice Adeyemi Ajayi has fixed November 26 for the hearing, following a plea for adjournment by Odumodublvck’s lawyer, Sheriff Bello, who stated that his team needed additional time to “put their house in order.”
Meanwhile, Odumodublvck recently stirred further reactions after taking a swipe at some of his colleagues in the music industry, accusing them of jealousy and hypocrisy.
During an interview on the Toronto Ada’s Room podcast, he said, “In Nigeria, they say my rap is not good, but I’m the most featured rapper by international artists.”
The “Declan Rice” hitmaker claimed that his rising success and creative independence had sparked envy among his peers, noting that many were unsettled by his ability to create hit songs and sing his own hooks.
“I’m not moved by industry noise,” he added. “I focus on delivering for my fans and maintaining my pace. That’s what matters.”
Earlier this year, Odumodublvck also issued a warning to young, aspiring artists about relocating to Lagos, describing the city as “the worst place for a young artist to grow.” He argued that the industry culture in the commercial hub turns people into “greedy, selfish, and self-centred packaged beasts.”
