Nigeria’s top economic brass, Central Bank Governor Olayemi Cardoso and Finance Minister Wale Edun, held crucial high-level talks with the heads of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund this week. As part of their engagements at the ongoing Spring Meetings, the duo met with World Bank President Ajay Banga, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, and IMF First Deputy Managing Director Gita Gopinath.
The meetings, held in their Washington, D.C. offices on Tuesday and Wednesday, provided a platform to discuss Nigeria’s ongoing economic reform efforts and facilitate an exchange of perspectives on critical global and domestic economic matters.
