The Nasarawa State Ministry of Justice has begun the formal process to seek Governor Abdullahi Sule’s approval for the execution of Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, who was convicted of murdering Corps Member Salome Adaidu.
State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice Barrister Danladi Isaac said the action follows a State High Court sitting in Lafia, which on June 26, 2025 found Ajayi guilty and sentenced him to death by hanging. The convict had a 90-day window to appeal the judgment; no appeal had been filed as of September 26, 2025, Mr. Isaac said.
The ministry’s submission to the governor is the next procedural step required before any execution can be carried out.
