Manchester United have made Cristiano Ronaldo decision

by

It has been over a decade since Cristiano Ronaldo decided to leave Manchester United and sign for Real Madrid in a then world record transfer. A lot of things have happened since then.

Manchester United on the other hand have not been as successful. Following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, they have struggled to match their own high standards and have not won the Premier League since then.

Despite this, Ronaldo has always been linked with a return to Old Trafford. And with rumours swirling around that he could end up leaving Juventus in the near future, naturally a move back to the Red Devils has been brought up as well.

OBSERVERS TIMES report that the Red Devils won’t be pushing to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

This is an understandable decision on the part of the club. While the Portuguese legend has continued to perform at a high level, it is undeniable that he is 36 years of age and most probably in the twilight of his career.

On the other hand, United are a young team who have made some considerable progress under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season. And while they have signed veteran players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani in the recent past, Ronaldo’s incredible salary might make it very difficult for even them to make a move.

Thus, while signing Ronaldo would be a blockbuster move on the part of the Red Devils, do not expect it to happen.
