Kano gov pays 2023 NECO fees of 55,000 students

The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the immediate settlement of NECO fees for 55,000 students of public schools to enable them to sit for the 2023 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

Governor Yusuf made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on some of the achievements recorded by his administration within the last 20 days at the Government House.

To this end, he urged the benefiting students to put in more effort toward passing their examinations, to reciprocate the government’s good gesture and justify the huge investment made by the state government in order not to halt their educational pursuit.

As a concerned government, we must ensure that the progression of your educational pursuit is not stopped and I promptly approved the payment of the examination fees to 55,000 students across the state.”

Also, he assured the good people of the state that his administration is working on policies and programmes that would help improve the education sector, which he described as the bedrock of the development of any society.
