Israel’s government has approved the first phase of the Trump peace plan, which includes the exchange of captives and a partial withdrawal of Israeli forces from parts of Gaza.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude to former US President Donald Trump and American officials for their involvement in brokering the ceasefire aimed at ending the ongoing war in Gaza.
The approval marks a significant step towards implementing the wider peace framework, which seeks to de-escalate tensions and pave the way for long-term stability in the region.
