Mrs. Rosemary Onoja, an accomplished accountant and philanthropist, will be conferred with the First‑Class chieftaincy title of Iganya Ata‑Igala by the Attah of Igala Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Agabaidu Dr. Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, CFR.
The announcement highlights Mrs. Onoja’s recent recognition by the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of Idah Diocese, which named her Onobule Omemele, and notes that the new traditional honour follows that recognition in quick succession. The conferment is being described by supporters as a historic moment for the revered Igala Kingdom.
Mrs. Onoja, who holds ACCA and ACA professional qualifications, is also the wife of Chief Dr. Ogwu James Onoja, SAN, who himself holds the title Agenyi Attah of the Igala Kingdom. She is widely regarded locally for her philanthropic work and community service.
The Attah of Igala, who also serves as President of the Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers, will perform the investiture. No date for the ceremony has been announced publicly. Supporters and well‑wishers have extended congratulations, praising her humility, commitment to service and leadership in the community.
