The representative of the Ikeja Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, has consistently demonstrated his commitment to serving his people through various initiatives and advocacy. Since his election in 2011, he has made significant impacts in providing palliatives and essential infrastructure to his constituency.

Recently, Hon. Faleke took to his verified social media handle to share his thoughts on the proposed cybersecurity tax. He wrote:

“As a representative of the people, I participated in a plenary session with my fellow lawmakers to discuss the proposed cybersecurity tax. Our focus was on ensuring a fair distribution of the tax burden, avoiding any undue impact on the Nigerian people. To achieve this, we established committees to engage with the Executive arm of government and guarantee a balanced approach.

Additionally, the House Committee on Finance commenced its quarterly revenue monitoring session, where federal government agencies presented their revenue performance reports for the first quarter of the year. This session aims to promote transparency, accountability, and effective management of government revenue.

As a representative of the people, my priority is to ensure that taxation policies are fair, equitable, and do not impose an undue burden on citizens. I will continue to work with my colleagues to promote responsible taxation, accountable governance, and the well-being of the Nigerian people.”

Hon. Faleke’s commitment to responsible taxation and accountable governance is a testament to his dedication to serving his people and promoting the well-being of Nigerians.
