Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mrs. Zainab Takai, wife of a former governorship candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in the state, Alhaji Salihu Takai.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, Governor Yusuf said he received the news of Mrs. Takai’s passing with “deep shock and sadness,” describing her as “an obedient wife, devoted mother and compassionate woman whose kindness and empathy touched many lives.”
The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to Mr. Takai and the entire family, praying that Almighty God grants the deceased eternal rest and gives her loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
“On behalf of the government and good people of Kano State, I extend our sincere sympathy to the Takai family. May Allah forgive her shortcomings and reward her with Jannatul Firdaus,” the governor said.
The late Mrs. Takai was known for her humility, community support and motherly nature, attributes many residents say will leave a lasting legacy in Kano’s social and religious circles.
