Timilehin Ajayi, a gospel singer facing charges for the alleged murder of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, was seen praying in court on the morning of his most recent hearing. The trial, which resumed yesterday, centers on the death of Adaidu, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving at Nicon Insurance in Abuja.

Ajayi was arrested on January 12 in connection with Adaidu’s killing, which reportedly occurred during a visit to his residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. Authorities apprehended Ajayi while he was allegedly attempting to dispose of the victim’s dismembered body.
Reports indicate that during initial questioning, Ajayi expressed no remorse and accused Salome of repeated infidelity. A recent video capturing him in prayer at the court has since gone viral, sparking widespread public discussion.
