Earlier today a stakeholders’ meeting in Ikeja Federal Constituency brought together party leaders, council chairmen and community representatives to discuss strategies for increasing voter registration and participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting concentrated on mobilizing eligible residents to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), strengthening grassroots engagement, and building unity across Ikeja, Onigbongbo and Ojodu. Organisers said they will support ward-level registration drives to ensure broader outreach.
At the session the convener also announced the next phase of the Light Up Ikeja project — the installation of 1,000 new streetlights on major streets — and pledged to link the infrastructure rollout with civic mobilisation efforts. “Service to the people continues,” the convener said.
