Popular and controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Olalomi Okikiola, widely known as Portable, was convicted and sentenced to three months’ imprisonment today by Chief Magistrate Babajide Ilo of the Magistrate Court in Ifo.
Portable’s sentencing follows his arraignment in April 2023 on a three-count charge (Charge Sheet No. MIF/192C/2023) related to assault and the theft of musical instruments.

Portable in Court
The “Zazuu Zeh” crooner had previously been granted bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties from his immediate family. However, he was reportedly remanded last Thursday after failing to appear at multiple prior court hearings.
According to the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Olumide Awoleke, the offenses were committed on November 18, 2022, at approximately 11:00 AM in Okeosa, Ilogbo, within the Ifo Magisterial District.
