Reports are circulating on social media that Reverend Uma Ukpai, the renowned international evangelist and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, has passed away.
The news gained traction after Prophet Joel Ogebe posted a cryptic message on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “A giant has gone to be with the Lord. My father, my father, the chariot of Israel. Heaven rejoices. Uyo.” Although no specific name was mentioned, many online users have linked the message to Rev. Ukpai, who leads a prominent non-denominational ministry based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Further confirming the speculation, the Christian news platform Church Gist shared a post on Facebook declaring: “A GENERAL TAKES A BOW! EVANGELIST UMA UKPAI HAS GONE TO BE WITH THE LORD. REST IN POWER, SIR.”
As of now, there has been no official confirmation or statement from Rev. Ukpai’s family regarding the reports.
