Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has dismissed Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko, the state’s Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, following a reshuffle of the State Executive Council.
The decision, announced by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Mukhtar Gidado, comes into effect immediately.
According to Gidado’s statement, the Governor expressed gratitude for Baban-Takko’s service to the state and wished her success in future endeavors. The reshuffle also aligns with minor changes made to the state’s executive team.
This move follows recent developments within the state’s civil service, including the dismissal of two senior officials for forgery and an education officer over allegations of sexual harassment.
The Bauchi State Civil Service Commission had earlier taken action under the State Public Service Rule 0327 for misconduct related to the falsification of official documents.
