All 22 governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), operating under the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), today unanimously passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu. The governors further adopted President Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The announcement was made by Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who chairs the PGF, during the National Summit of the APC held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja. Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Governor Uzodimma officially moved the motion for President Tinubu’s adoption.
Senator Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State and Vice Chairman of the PGF, promptly seconded the motion, lending additional weight to the endorsement.
Following the motion, Governor Uzodimma put the proposal to a vote among the summit participants.

The attendees, which included Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, members of the National Assembly, serving and former governors, and APC members from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, overwhelmingly adopted President Tinubu for a second term through a resounding voice vote and a standing ovation.
This decisive move by the APC governors signals a strong unified front within the party, affirming their support for President Tinubu’s leadership and his re-election bid in 2027.
