Clusters of people from ancient Anyigba community and its environs in Dekina local government area, has expressed gratitude to the marching order against the prevalent political thuggery activities and killings in the town,saying they can now sleep with their two eyes closed

Well meaning individuals within the location of Anyigba community but preferred anonymity for security reasons, cut across Ogane-Aji,Ate-Iji,Ajetachi,Sabongeri,Odo-eto,Obeya 1and 2,Ijebu Ode area,Abuja area,Anokwu,all expressed gratitude to the former service chief for choosen to prevent the ongoing indiscriminate political killings in the area
The people expressed worry that not minding the security threat in the area,attacks and harrassement from government sponsored thugs,politicians with little faith still summon the guts to carry out campaigns to demand for the support of the denied electorates and other inhabitants of the area
Prominent opposition elements not in support of the present administration in the area, have been sent on exile for threat of been killed by the well armed thuggery gang that used the town as operational base of their dastardly acts, to reach out to other neighbouring communities and the entire Kogi east
Having denied the opposition elements from electioneering campaigns and voting during last elections,over 20 people were killed to scare away the electorates before,during and after the election,that pronounced victory for only the ruling party, APC in the state
Many notable indigenes from the area boycotted the last election and refused to come home, owing to constant harrassement and insecurity as a result of the activities of the state sponsored hoodlums
The worst is now happening build up to the next governorship election, as the former Naval chief and other contestants within APC, particularly the aspirants including the former service chief was attacked in Anyigba and concluded plans to continue in that trend, by the agents of the state government
Aside the threat of thuggery activities at the home front,prominent members of APC and other opposition elements of PDP and others were been trailed to their locations with threats of extermination to preclude them from vying for the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state
Kogi COS to the governor, Edward Onoja was fingered,arrested,quizzed and released by the security agents, despite his public denial of not been involved in such arrests after some days the story trend and went viral
Intra and inter party thugs including the leader of notorious kogi government sponsored gang,Sumaila Yakubu Agba was killed in Anyigba after the donation of Venza and other exotic cars,that resulted in reprisal of other notable ones within Anyigba and its environs
Just yestarday, unabated killings went on in Kogi east and Anyigba, without recourse from the government,except campaign of calumny to run down percieved opponents within and outside the ruling party
