Anambra PDP Governorship Candidate Jude Ezenwafor Shot in Abuja

Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra State election, was shot and seriously wounded by unknown gunmen in Abuja on Friday night. The attack occurred near Wuse 2 as he was on his way home from an appointment.
Sources say Ezenwafor, a real estate developer who became the PDP candidate unopposed, is currently in a private hospital awaiting surgery to remove bullets. Two other people who were with him at the time of the shooting were also injured and are receiving medical treatment.
The motive behind the attack and the identities of the assailants are still unknown. Police investigations are ongoing, though the FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, stated she was not yet aware of the incident.
According to PDP insiders, the incident could disrupt the party’s campaign plans, depending on the severity of Ezenwafor’s injuries and his recovery timeline.
