John Nwosu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Anambra’s 8 November election, has kicked off his campaign with a rousing rally in Onitsha, urging residents to back his vision for a secure and thriving state. Brandishing the ADC flag, Nwosu declared the current administration under Governor Soludo a failure, citing rampant insecurity and eroded values. “Anambra deserves better,” he said. “Our seven-pillar plan—Security, Health, Education, Economy, Enterprise, Market, and Social Welfare (SHEEEMS)—will transform the state with seamless, transparent governance.”
Promising to deploy cutting-edge AI and fingerprint security systems, Nwosu pledged to restore peace within six months, ensuring safe streets and vibrant community traditions. He also vowed to end exploitation by abolishing Ndi Aka-Odo, slashing tariffs for traders and drivers by 30%, and introducing e-governance to boost efficiency and curb corruption. “With your phone, you’ll access services, track projects, and hold us accountable in real time,” he said.
Former ADC national chairman Chief Ralph Nwosu, representing Senator David Mark, hailed the party’s unifying mission, calling on Anambra to embrace ADC’s vision of peace and progress. “This isn’t just a campaign launch—it’s a movement.
