Zulum returns after receiving 1000 returnees, staying 2 nights in Baga

 
Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum on Sunday returned to Maiduguri after spending two nights in Baga during which he received over 1,000 internally displaced persons who willingly returned to Baga town.
The Governor was in Baga between Friday to Sunday supervising preparations for safe resettlements to the commercial town which used to be strategic to boko haram’s commercial operations.
While addressing the returnees in Baga, Zulum urged them to be law abiding and cooperate with the security agencies in maintaining law and order.
Each of the 1000 returnees were given cash of N10,000 as emergency relief. Every adult member of a household received one bag of rice, one bag of maize grain, one bag of beans and a 3 liters of cooking oil.
Governor Zulum while returning, plied the Maiduguri-Baga route along with other government officials in charge of the resstlmeent of internally displaced persons.
