“Your Father-in-law Governed Us Well”, Our Delegates Votes Are For You, Kogi Central PDP Women Declare For Abu Ibro

It was joy and celebration in Kogi Central today as Hajia (Barr.) Ruqayat Abubakar, the wife of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim visited home in Okene today 30th August 2019, to greet the women wing of Kogi Central PDP.
The occasion was graced by the who-is-who in Kogi Central PDP women politics, this was as the venue was filled to capacity as the women leadership of the PDP in the five (5) Local Governments in Kogi Central travelled from far and near to indicate readiness and resolve of the women delegates in Kogi Central to vote Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim on Tuesday September 3rd 2019, when the Kogi State PDP Governorship Primary election holds.
The speakers took turns to testify of the goodness of the father of Hajia (Barr.) Ruqayat Abubakar, Colonel Amuda (Rtd), stressing how he empowered the Ebiras and most of the people of Kogi Central during his days in the Nigerian Army. They emphasised with passion that they are persuaded and sure beyond doubt, that the good acts of Colonel Amuda (Rtd) would continue in the likeness of Hajia (Barr.) Ruqayat Abubakar.
Furthermore, they recalled how her father-in-law, former Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Ibrahim Idris (Ibro) did the people of Kogi Central well and gave good life and various empowerments to the people of Kogi Central, hence making most prominent and well-to-do people in Ebiraland what good they are today.
They also told Hajia Ruqayat and all present, of how when the PDP in Kogi State was on the verge of going into extinction, it was only Ex-Governor Ibrahim Idris that stood by the Party and funded it, re-engineered back to track to be as attractive to the various governorship aspirants as it is today.
The women were adorned in various branded attires for the occasion as they celebrated Hajia Ruqayat, with songs, drums and with all kinds of dance steps, assuring themselves that with Hajia (Barr.) Ruqayat in Government House in the future days ahead, the Ebiras will for the first time since Kogi State was created, have someone occupying the position  of First Lady, and hence they will as delegates and leaders ensure the soonest possible reality by mobilising and voting for her husband, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim during the Party primary election, as they see a vote for Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim as a vote for one of their own in person of his wife, Hajia (Barr.) Ruqayat Abubakar.
They stressed that since Hajia (Barr.) Ruqayat is one of their own, in that she is from Okene, Kogi Central; they yet again have a “personal” reason to vote for her husband, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim (Abu Ibro) on the day of the Primary election.
They prayed for Hajia Ruqayat, that her husband, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim will be victorious in the September 3rd Kogi State PDP Primary election.
Hajia (Barr.) Ruqayat Abubakar while making her speech, appreciated the women of Kogi Central PDP for the warm reception. She emphasized how much she feels at home in their midst. She brought glad tidings from her husband, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, a frontline aspirant in the forthcoming Kogi State PDP Primary election.
She solicited for votes from the women on behalf of her husband.
She assured them that she will not let the women down if the opportunity to govern the State is given to her husband.
She lamented the underdevelopment that has rocked Kogi Central and all of Kogi State since the APC took over power. She decried the poor handling of women welfare in the State by the APC administration. She promised to change the narrative for good if her husband is given the opportunity to govern Kogi State.
She took time to reel out the manifesto of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim and she assured that Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim is the answer to the problems facing Kogi State today.
She was accompanied by the women cordinators of the Abubakar Ibrahim Campaign Organisation in the East and West axis.
