President Muhammadu Buhari has on Monday warned all local government council chairmen against handing over local government funds to their state governors.
The statement was made and submitted by Buhari’s supporter, Chieftain, Joe Igbokwe on his Facebook page, he insisted that any local government council chairman that is found culpable of handing over funds to the state governor will give account at EFCC or Kirikiri maximum prison.

This statement is coming after, a call for restructuring and devolution of power among the three tiers of government. Buhari-led administration had said through Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the federation, that what restructuring means to the administration is the functionality of all democratic structures.
