The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has formally disowned former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, citing his persistent anti-party activities. The party’s Secretary, Kamorudeen Alao, made this known to journalists after a stakeholders meeting at the party secretariat in Osogbo.
According to Alao, Aregbesola’s actions have made it clear that he is no longer a member of the party in the state. While acknowledging his national status, the party has reported his anti-party activities to the National Executive Committee for appropriate action.
The State Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, also urged party members to disregard any membership registration exercise by any group in the state, as the official registration will commence next week in line with the national secretariat’s directive.
In essence, Osun APC has distanced itself from Aregbesola’s divisive activities and called on the national leadership to take necessary disciplinary measures against him.”
