Yobe: Governor Buni inspect IDPs international Primary School as project reaches 85% completion

 

Today 26th September 2021, His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni was on project supervision at the second IDPs international Primary School in Buni Gari. According to the project Manager Mr Solomon Friday, the project is at its 85% completion as well all materials for the completion including solar panels and play ground materials are all on ground.
Executive Secretary of SEMA while briefing his Excellency Said few weeks to the dateline, the project is at its completion stage. When completed it will provide a conducive learning environment for the children of the returnee IDPs. The school is built and furnished with state of art equipment.

When completed, it will provide:

1: 16 Classes
2: Fully Furnished administrative Block with Headmasters, Staff room, Computer room, Exam officers and reception offices.
3: Complete Solar powered
4: Borehole and reservoir
5: Child friendly Toilets and WASH facilities
6: Children Playground
7: Assembly ground
8: Gatehouse
9: Inverter room
10: Boundry Wall.
11.Interlocked Walk way
12. COMPUTER ROOM

This project which will directly impact the beneficiaries and their communities through strengthening the infrastructure and capability of the education sector within returnee communities in order to meet the social, physical, psychological and educational needs of students from internally displaced and vulnerable households.

This will contribute towards the long-term security and access to basic human needs for the beneficiaries. A strong educational sector will increase equal opportunity, employment potential and the resultant economic empowerment will provide a means of protection and resilience.
