Yahaya Karaku, Simon Achuba, Others Decamp to PDP in Kogi

Renowned politician and Chairman of Governor Yahaya Bello Elders Advisory Council in the central senatorial district of Kogi State, Yahaya Karaku has decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Karaku who is a former Chairman of Okene Local Government Area of the state, was one of the decampees received by the Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu at the Presidential campaign rally in Lokoja, the state capital.

 

The former Deputy Governor of the state, Simon Achuba also defected to the PDP.

Recall that the immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Ahmed Imam also decamped to the PDP last week.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Achuba said that the ruling All Progressive Congress has looted the state.

He assured that the new decampees joined the PDP to take back the state and return it to its glory days.

The Presidential candidate of the PDP, Abubakar Atiku promised the people of the state that if voted, he would ensure the revival of Ajaokuta Steel Company, and Inland Port.
