Yahaya Bello Ready For Kogi State Local Government Election,As Assembly Sets To Clear SIEC Chairman, Members

The Kogi State Government may have began the process to putting in place a Democratically elected with councils with the planned screening of the Chairman and Members of the State Independent Electoral Commission.

The SIEC Chairman and Members would be screened by the Kogi State House of Assembly today.
Alh. Shiru Lawal when confirmed by the lawmakers would head the state electoral body towards conducting council elections later in the year.
There is the likely hood that the Chairman and Members of the electoral body would be sworn in by Gov. Yahaya Bello, to begin the process of conducting election.
The SIEC Chairman hails from Lokoja LGA, is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
