Why I Attended 74th United Nations General Assembly; APC National Woman Leader

National Woman Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC,Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma said her trip to the 74th United Nations General Assembly meeting, was to galvanize more support and attention globally towards women’s welfare, THE OBSERVERS TIMES report.
Mrs Baiwa stated this on arrival from the trip,assuring the women in Nigeria, that the current administration of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, is poised to improve the living standard of women in and around the globe to compete favourably with their counterparts in other countries.
She said her attendance wholly to represent the women of Nigeria, was an eye opener to share with world leaders,including Nigerian President that include ranges of international discourse,which include climate change,gender equality and solutions to mitigate the prevailing situation in the continent
“I was at the United Nations General Assembly(UNGA) in New York, to attend several side events, I also had the opportunity to attend the 74th General Assembly where world leaders including the President of Nigeria converged to discuss on a full range of international issues, including climate change and Gender equality and how best we can tackle them” Baiwa Said
Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa assured Nigerian  women of her desire to continue to leverage on all avenues that will lead to the total emancipation of women,through greater attention from government,private conglomerates  and corporate organisations
The Woman leader attended the global program in company of the deputy National Woman Leader of APC
‘Also in attendance with me was the Deputy National Women Leader of APC’.
