As preparations for the the commencement of the 60th Annual General Conference of the NBA. It is a Diamond Anniversary of the largest Bar Association in Africa ready to taking place between 26th and 29th of August, 2020. It is a once in a lifetime celebration with the theme STEPPING FORWARD.
An angry lawyer named Ouzo has called for outright boycott of the epoch event under the leadership of Olumide Akpata ESQ, who was just ejected, Mr Ouzo said “If El Rufai will be speaking at this conference, it’s imperative that everyone boycotts and demand the resignation of the NBA leadership.”

In the same development, another lawyer, Mr Lugard Tare-Otu also added his voice in a more stronger way, he wrote “ Govenor Elrufai has no business sitting with and speaking to Gentlemen and Ladies of the Bar. I therefore call on Olumide Akpata to withdraw Elrufai from speaking at the conference. Retweet this in solidarity with the incarcerated & the people of Southern Kaduna. #Elrufaiiscancelled.
He went further “ I call on other well meaning lawyers to also boycott the conference, except Elrufai is withdrawn from speaking at the event. The Kaduna State Government does not have a track record of respect for the rule of law and protecting the rights to life and property”
In conclusion, Mr Tare-Otu said” Governor El’rufai has no business addressing lawyers at the at the Nigeria Bar Association NBA Conference. As lawyers, it is our duty to uphold the rule of law. Courts have found that Elrufai’s Government has illegally arrested & incarcerated people. I hereby withdraw my attendance from the Conference”
