We’re No Longer Interested: Patience Jonathan Rules Out Husband’s Return To Presidency

Former Nigeria’s First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has declared that’s her husband, former President Goodluck Jonathan, will not be joining the presidential race in 2027.

Speaking to the Greater Igbo Forum in Abuja, Patience emphasized that Jonathan has already occupied the highest political office in Nigeria and has no further political ambitions.

She highlighted Jonathan’s extensive political experience, having held numerous significant positions, and assured that he is committed to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Patience stressed that her husband has reached the pinnacle of political office and has no desire to re-enter the political fray.

In addition to addressing her husband’s political future, Patience called on the Igbo people to unite and prioritize the collective good over personal or political differences.

She emphasized the importance of loving and working for the country’s well-being, ensuring a bright future for generations to come.

Patience also urged the Igbo community to set aside political differences and focus on unity and development, promoting love, understanding, and mutual support.

Her message emphasized the need for collective effort towards a better future for all Nigerians.
