Wedding Palliative: What Chief Ogwu Onoja SAN says

PROTOCOLS

This is to humbly welcome everyone to this Live Conference of ‘Wedding Suit Palliative: The Revenge of the Long Coat’.

The excitement of getting married quickly turned to stress and anxiety the moment any young people in a relationship started to discuss paying for their wedding.

Exactly 25-years ago when me and my beautiful wife were planning for marriage, we didn’t have so much money to spend on a lot of things. We just knew we would have to be creative to pull off the wedding.

On 31st March, 2022 my wife Rosemary and I will be celebrating our 25-years wedding anniversary. This has given us the perfect opportunity to reflect back on what has made the biggest impacts on our marriage and the progress we have made these years.

During our marriage preparations, many factors and events readily come to mind. Before the date fixed for our wedding, I became an orphan having lost both parents within six months.

In spite of these tribulations, we both agreed that receiving little financial support for our wedding was the best thing that happened to us and our marriage even when the limited financial help from family and friends were not enough to give us the BEST WEDDING SUIT/DRESS as we desired.

Today, God has blessed us and as part of plans to celebrate our 25-years wedding anniversary in March 2022, we are donating the sum of 2 Million Naira (N2,000,000) Only to support Forty (40) IGALA SINGLES planning for marriage between now and 31st March, 2022.

This means, each couple shall receive the sum of Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000) Only. This I term; “The Wedding Suit Palliative”. Either of the couple shall be the beneficiary of this palliative.

A committee has been setup to carefully coordinate the selection process which shall be subject to screening and confirmation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BENEFICIARIES:

1. You must be an Igala male or female whose wedding date has been fixed between now and 31st March, 2022.

2. You must be a member of Igala Singles Group on Facebook.

3. You must submit your wedding Invitation Card with your pre-wedding picture.

4. At least, four people are to benefit from each of the Local Governments in Igala Land.

5. Only the Bride or the Groom shall benefit at a time.

Let it be noted that, this is done purely, out of our love for all Igala youths – those planning for marriage to support them to afford a very nice suit/dress for their big day. I see this as imperative because I couldn’t afford the best suit for my wedding 25-years ago when I married my beautiful wife.

This also is to encourage Igala Singles to get married. Today, what many called ‘Oversized Coat’ has given birth to forty (40) beautiful Suits.

May I take the liberty of this moment to appreciate my wife, Rosemary Onoja for saying “Yes” to me in spite of my humble beginning.

I am indebted to my In-laws, Mr. & Mrs. Emmanuel Negedu KSM for entrusting their daughter into my hand and my dear senior brother, Dr. Ali Johnson Onoja Ph.D. who practically guaranteed the marriage.

We also like to appreciate the entire members of Igala Singles Cooperative Forum for the Award of “IGALA DADDY GENERAL” on me. This Award will serve as motivation for me to impact more Igala people.

Finally, I thank my Daddy, Engr. Joseph Oyeyami Makoju for taking me and ensuring my growth and development to this stage.

God take all the glory.
Thank you all.

Chief and Mrs. Ogwu James Onoja San SAN
