President Bola Tinubu is enduring significant economic strain due to the recent increase in fuel prices.

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkiruka Onyejeocha, highlighted this challenge during a stakeholders meeting in Abuja focused on the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Onyejeocha emphasized that the President should not be held responsible for the delay in the release of the template for the Consequential Adjustment of the N70,000 National Minimum Wage.

The meeting saw numerous speakers, including government officials and private sector representatives, expressing their concerns over the severe hardships faced by citizens. These difficulties include the rise in fuel prices, the postponement of minimum wage adjustments, and the soaring costs of goods and services.
