Video: KSA Majority Leader Launches Violent Attack on Hospital, Assaults Doctors on Duty

In a shocking incident at the local hospital, the Majority Leader of the Kogi State Assembly(name ) led a group of men in kaftan to unleash violence, targeting doctors on duty.

The motive behind the attack was reportedly the loss of a patient, and the group sought revenge on the medical staff.

Upon my team’s arrival to review a new patient in the A&E, the situation escalated when the men forcibly entered, demanding to know the doctors responsible.

Despite being unfamiliar with the patient in question, I witnessed the leader hurling his phones at me. With only three doctors present, we had to retreat to another room after the attackers broke in, assaulting and tearing our shirts.

Chaos ensued as the assailants wreaked havoc in the A&E, assaulting any hospital staff in their path, including nurses, doctors, and security personnel.

The situation escalated further when the hospital’s CSO confronted the aggressors with a gun.

A violent struggle ensued, resulting in shots being fired as they managed to seize the weapon.

Trapped inside the hospital due to the locked gate, my colleagues and I are currently in hiding at various locations.

The primary culprit, identified as the Majority Leader in the Kogi State House of Assembly, was clad in a white kaftan.

He instigated the assault by throwing his phones, physically attacking me and my colleague, and leading the destructive rampage.

The incident sheds light on a disturbing trend where acts of thuggery and violence are perceived as acceptable outlets for expressing anger and frustration.

The incident underscores the broader issue of lawlessness within the APC members in Kogi State, led by Governor Bello. The lasting damage inflicted on the state may require an entire generation to rectify—a shameful consequence of such egregious behavior.
