Comrade Usman Okai Austin on Tuesday congratulated, Leader, Sen. Tunde J Ogbeha @73.
Gen. Tunde Ogbeha was born in Lokoja, Kogi State in 1947, appointed in 1985 as an ambassador to Equatorial Guinea. In 1987 he was appointed as the Governor of the newly created Akwa-Ibom state and a year later he became the Governor of the now-defunct Bendel State.
He voluntarily retired from the Nigerian Army in 1993 and became a businessman from where he ventured into politics and he has been two-time senator representing Kogi West.
After leaving politics he became the Chairman of the Confluence Cable Network, Kogi’s State first private broadcasting station.
As a Senator, Ogbeha constituency projects were built on provision of water, rural electrification and roads. the quintessential officer, the Conscientious Politician is today 73 years old.
In a congratulatory message, Comrade Usman Okai Austin felicitated with the family, friends and political associates of the senator.
Okai saluted the senator as he turned 73 years old , commended the maturity, stability and focused legislation that he instituted in the upper chamber during the eight years he served as senate president.
The Comrade prayed that the almighty God would grant the former Senator and military Governor of Akwa Ibom state longer life, good health and wisdom to continue serving his people and the country.
He had served the country variously as a governor, Ambassador and a Senator.
