Usman Okai Austin Cna is an enigma- Ben Abdul

Usman Okai Austin Cna is an enigma. People say, it is not someone that is wealthy that help but, someone that have the heart to help that does help – Comrade Okai is that someone.

I won’t forget in a hurry one day we were at a meeting, he asked me if I was hungry but I decided to man-up, pretending I was okay. He placed his order unknown to me that, it wasn’t his order but my order – that’s the pathology of selflessness. Or should I tell you how many times I gone to a meeting with him alongside VIP’s where I have seen him put his people’s interest above his. I once asked him about it and he replied, ‘Ben, I am a product of grace and my people ought to enjoy from it.’ I have seen it with my own eyes how in his private capacity facilitated appointments for people regardless of ethnic and religious differences.

He is the type that made it a habit take me to confidential meetings even though in my mind, I sometimes question the rationality of such decision. Comrade Okai is deliberate about success, he is a team player and leader, where others see obstacles, he sees opportunities; and he is intentional about the aspirations and development of his kith and kins and beyond.

Needless to say Comrade is a family man to the core – he wear his family on his sleeves. His wife and daughters are his biggest motivation and he provides aspiring activist the template on how to manage social availability (in the context of family) with the struggle of making the country a better place for all – an herculean task for even the most bravest of men.

Maybe another day I will write a story of how I found out Comrade Usman Okai Austin is my cousin but before then, I wish you all the very best life has to offer. May the countenance of God forever shines upon you and your beautiful family and all your endeavours.

Enjoy your day sir.

Cheers!
