As Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo assumes office as Kogi State Governor today, the Chairman of the United Progressive Political Parties( UPPP) Malam Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu has congratulated the Ododo on the occasion of his inauguration as Governor of Kogi
“It’s my pleasure to say a big congratulations on your inauguration ceremony as the new Governor of our dear state Kogi state, no one is more deserving of this position and honour at this time.
Your humility and dedication speaks volumes. Also congratulations to the All Progressive Party ( APC) for a well deserved victory at the November 11 polls that has led us to this inauguration today.
Malam Dirisu further advise the new Governor on the way forward, urging him to fulfil his promise of developing all parts of the state.
“To our new amiable governor his Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. To whom much is given, much is also expected. You have been given this divine duty by Almighty God to spearhead the affairs of the state at this pivotal point in history, to carry Kogi state to its deserved position amongst the committee of states.
“We know you are going to keep your promise to elevate the youth of the state, improve the welfare of workers, improve on education, women and children, improve the welfare of the disabled and the less privileged, and build on the success of his excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the state
The UPPP Leader also pledged the unalloyed support of the political organization for the new Governor
“We of the United Progressive Political Parties UPPP will continue to support your government to the best of our ability and we hold you to your promise of total inclusiveness and carrying us and indeed other kogites along as exemplified by the President and commander in chief of the armed forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) in what we know is going to be your historic tenure as governor in our dear state.
The Chairman of the UPPP futher showered encomiums on outgoing Governor, Yahaya Bello for overseeing a free and fair election,
“I want to thank his excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello for presiding over the most free and fair elections Kogi state has witnessed history will remember you sir for being dogged strong and leaving Kogi state better than you left it.
