United Kingdom Commissions Nigerian (Igala) as first non British Into Its Royal Air Force.

Joel Eleojo Adams will become the first non-British to be commissioned as an Aero-Systems Specialist Engineer to the rank of a Flying Officer in the British Royal Air Force by Thursday, January 11.

According to information obtained on Bayelsa News Portal, Joel, who obtained his BEng (1st class honors) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, was the valedictorian of his graduation year at the Niger Delta University and also a recipient of the prestigious Presidential Scholarship for Innovation and Development (PRESSID).

Mr. Adams, a native of Abejukolo in the Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State graduated with first-class degree in Electrical Engineering from the Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State.

He holds a PhD in Industrial Systems and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge after completing a master’s degree in Control Systems from the Imperial College London.

He was a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship for Innovation and Development under the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration.

He was made a British citizen shortly after his commissioning
