UK Universities Consider NECO Results for Nigerian Student Admissions

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that universities in the United Kingdom are interested in considering its examination results for admitting Nigerian students. According to the NECO Registrar, Professor Ibrahim Wushishi, two UK universities have already reached out to verify the credibility of NECO examinations for admission purposes.

This development comes as NECO is exploring the possibility of migrating to Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for its examinations. However, the registrar highlighted the complexity of this transition due to the large number of students and subjects involved. NECO examines over 1.5 million
