Uguwanyi Emerges Leader South-East PDP

Governor Ugwuanyi Becomes New Leader Of The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) In South-East.


Following a meeting held by South-East Governors Forum, The Governor of Enugu state Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been made the leader of the South East Zone.

The acting Chairman of the party in the South East Zone revealed that Ugwuanyi was adopted as leader as a result of the Defection of Gov David Umahi of Ebonyi state who used to be the Chairman of the forum to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaving the PDP with two states; Abia and Enugu

MediaOrchid reports that Odefa speaking stressed that the adoption of Gov Ugwuanyi was as a result of his support and commitment to the party.

He said,

” We unanimously adopted Gov Ugwuanyi as leader of PDP in the South East zone because of his immeasurable contributions in the region.

” We are sure and satisfied that he will lead South East PDP to success. ” Odefa added that the party considered the governor’s outstanding performance in office and in a consensus, adopted him as leader of the party.

On the much anticipated Anambra governorship election, Odefa revealed a lot of work is ongoing to ensure the victory of the party in Anambra State.

” PDP South East is putting its house in order, we are drawing and calculating and at the fullest of time, the successes will announce the effort we have made so far. ”
