KOGI: Two suspected kidnappers killed, two others nabbed in Kogi.

Two suspected kidnappers were gunned down and two armed robbers arrested in Kogi as hunters and Vigilatee  intensifies onslaught on criminal activities in the state.
According to security report made available to OBSERVERS TIMES , a combined team of security operatives patrolling the Ajegu-Idah road on Tuesday foiled a kidnapping operation during which two of the kidnappers were gunned down as a result of the exchange of fire between the security men and the criminals.
Senior special assistant to the governor on security, Idah local government, Abu Odoma, who confirmed this, stated that the kidnap gang has been terrorizing road users along Ajegu-Idah road for years.

He stated that the kidnap gang met their waterloo when the security team invaded their hideout which led to a gun duel that resulted in the killing of two of the suspected robbers while  three other members escaped with bullet wounds.
The criminals were arrested by the joint security taskforce following security tip off.
Items recovered from the suspects include axes and other dangerous weapons.
