Total Nigeria Plc Changes Name, Gives Reason

Shareholders of Total Nigeria Plc, the downstream subsidiary of TotalEnergies in Nigeria, approved its change of name to Total Energies Marketing Nigeria Plc.

The approval was given at the company’s extraordinary general meeting in Lagos.

The company’s Chairman, Stanislas Mittelman, represented by Mr Rufai Sirajo, appreciated the shareholders for their continued support to the company, as it began its transition towards achieving the net-zero target by 2050.

“I hereby move that the memorandum and articles of association of the company be amended to reflect the company’s new name, Total Energies Marketing Nigeria Plc, and that all necessary steps to effect a change of name of the company be taken by the board,” Mittelman said.

Representatives of the shareholders at the meeting commended the company’s directors for the consistent payment of dividends and urged the management to
ensure that the transition was profitable for the company, with increased dividend payments for the shareholders.
