Tinubu’s policies will grow Nigeria’s economy, lift millions out of poverty: APC

by

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to implement bold, forward-looking policies to address Nigeria’s complex challenges.

Felix Morka, the party’s national publicity secretary, said this in a statement on Monday in Abuja, while reacting to comments made by Atiku Abubakar, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in 2023 presidential election.

He said Mr Tinubu’s reform agenda aimed to build a strong, resilient, and prosperous economy for present and future generations.

Mr Morka emphasised that these reforms were crucial for stabilising the economy, attracting investment, improving the business environment, and lifting millions out of poverty.

“The reforms are expected to free up over N1 trillion annually for investment in critical sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social investment programmes.”

In response to Mr Abubakar’s criticism, Mr Morka accused the former vice-president of hypocrisy, stating that his relentless condemnation of the administration’s policies was driven by selfish partisan interests.

Mr Morka noted that Mr Abubakar’s policy prescriptions are a rehash of old, disastrous approaches that brought the country to its knees under PDP’s rule.

Mr Morka stressed that Mr Tinubu’s administration remained confident that, in spite of temporary economic pains, lasting gains and better days were ahead for all Nigerians.
