Tinubu: You Are Putting All Agencies That Controls And Appropriate Money In Your Tribe- Segun Sowunmi

Segun Sowunmi, a former governorship aspirant in Ogun State, has alleged that Tinubu is allocating key financial positions to individuals from his tribe. He said Tinubu also appointed his tribesman as the chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), a pivotal institution in the country’s financial landscape

Sowunmi made this statement during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast. He also said that his critique was not fueled by animosity towards Tinubu or disdain for the government and that he is simply committed to a united Nigeria.

In Sowunmi’s words: “You are putting all agencies that control money and appropriate the money in your tribe and then you go on to NNPC, which is the basic cash cow of the country, and the only person you can find to make as chairman is also your tribesman. I am not a hater of government and I am not a hater of Bola Tinubu, I am just a lover of a united Nigeria. You remember how many times I came on your interview where I would take on the government of General Muhammadu Buhari. I consider it as being unfair to myself, and unfair to the people who used to listen to me when I was charging the other people to do better for everybody if I now suddenly become muted because your brother is the one in charge of the country now”.
