Tinubu Unaware of T-Pain Nickname, Aides Say

The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has dismissed as mischievous the nickname “T-Pain” being attributed to the president in response to the economic challenges facing Nigeria.

Amidst growing frustration over the state of the economy, Nigerians have taken to social media to refer to President Tinubu as T-Pain, suggesting that his policies have brought about hardship for the populace.

In a recent interview with Channels TV, Onanuga clarified that Tinubu is focused on rebuilding the economy and alleviating the suffering of the people, asserting that the president is not deliberately causing pain.

While acknowledging the difficulties faced by Nigerians, Onanuga emphasized that Tinubu is not aware of the nickname circulating on social media as “the President does not read what is on social media.”

He dismissed the T-Pain moniker as a non-issue, attributing it to mischief-makers and stressing that Tinubu is not deserving of such a label.
