Tinubu betrayed us over continued detention of our National leader, Bodejo — Fulani Youths

The continued detention of Fulani national leader has been described as height of wickedness exhibited by the Nigeria government.

Fulani youths in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have decried the continued detention of prominent leader and president of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo (Lamido Fulbe) over the recent creation of a quasi security outfit, Nomad Vigilante Group.

In a meeting held on Wednesday in Uke, presided over by Shuaibu Abubakar, the youths described the continued detention of Bodejo as an act of betrayal considering the role he played for the victory of President Bola Tinubu and other candidates in the 2023 general elections.

They appeal to President Tinubu to “intervene on the matter and ensure the release of Bodejo from detention”, stressing that the Miyetti Allah Leader “means well and has good intention for Nigeria”.

The fulani youths who welcomed the creation of Nomad Vigilante Group said the initiative was geared towards “strengthening the country’s security architecture to usher in sustainable prosperity”.

They therefore appealed to government at all levels to key into the initiative in order to guarantee the security of lives and property in the country.

The convener of the meeting, Shuaibu Abubakar, stated that “if not for the peaceful disposition of the Fulani people, major cities across the country would have been filled up with protesters”.

The Nomad Vigilante Group was launched on January 17 in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. The event had in attendance representatives of security agencies and critical stakeholders who welcomed the initiative aimed at tackling insecurity in the country.
