A renowned activist, politician and public speaker, Hon Usman Austin Okai, the former People’s Democratic Party, PDP, house of representative candidate in Dekina/Bassa, has this morning raised an alarm over plots to prevent him from participating actively in the next political tussle in the state.
Okai made this known via his Facebook page and was quoted as saying, ” Kogi Governorship Election is coming in Kogi state, the next plan now is how to have me out of circulation by the state government.This period I need your prayer, we shall not be intimidated”.
The activist sees this call as a pertinent following the scenario that played out in 2019 when he was whisked away a few days to the presidential election that ushered in president Muhammad Buhari for a second term.
Hon Austin argued that the executive governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, is a desperate politician and he is ready to take desperate moves to thwart the chances of opposition parties in the state.
