Anybody who has been part of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, since inception will know the difference between Prince Uche Secondus led National Working Committee, NWC and others.
This NWC has insisted on internal democracy at congresses and this has not gone down well with some power mongers in the party who would wish to unilaterally pick candidates both in their states and others.
Being a man who fear God, Prince Secondus insists on the right thing being done, on following the demands of his oath of office.
Having rejected series of inducements to change polices, those aiming to change the system unilaterally fearing that Prince Secondus won’t dance to their tune wants him out.
Prince Secondus does not show to be on the way of anybody following the right path. Only those who wants to use money to thwart the will of majority are uncomfortable with him.
Secondus Achievements.
For the purposes of those with short memory to have forgotten where the PDP was in December 2017 when Secondus came in as the leader of this party.
PDP had 11 state Governors, today they are 16
PDP ticket for any position including the Councillors use to be for the highest bidder at Wadata Plaza, Abuja today the people choose their preferred candidate. ‘Ghana Must Go’ in Wadata Plaza no long the vogue.
National Convention of October 2018 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state remains the best ever by any political party in this country. No wonder all the losers turned and supported the winner because they saw transparency and the real will of the people.
Secondus is leading the most transparent, corrupt free NWC, no wonder they are the first NWC to fully audit the party books in accordance with the directive of INEC.
Perhaps those not happy with Secondus style desires to have a bully who would at every point show power as the National Chairman. Not Secondus who recognizes where power and privileges come from- God almighty.
Let’s allow peace reign in this party and position ourselves to regain power because the mistake of losing power by PDP has brought this country very close to danger.
